Very effective as a low light area, Spot UV is applied to chosen areas on a business card or flyer. A very strong design feature Spot UV Printing has the effect of highlighting and drawing attention to that part of the design, and also provides a cool texture variance on a single printed surface. This adds a lot of interest, and can identify the printing as a premium print piece.

One very effective way to use spot uv is to apply a uv gloss on top of dark colors printed on a matte cardstock. This achieves maximum contrast between the highly reflective shiny uv coating and the light absorbing matte cardstock. This creates a striking first impression on any print piece!
